They experience deployments, long separations from their service member parent(s), PCS moves, changing schools, living in other countries, and saying “see ya later” to so many, many friends.

The most common question we get asked by people whether you're a Brat or not is, "Where are you from? For some Brats, it can be difficult to answer this simple question. We usually respond with, "Well, that depends. Do you mean where was I born? Where did I live the longest? Where do I consider home to be?"
We will never be from somewhere.
